We are a residential healing center for Aboriginal persons who are struggling with alcohol and/or drug addiction.
Our name telmexwawtexw was given to us by a respected elder, and means "medicine house". We are located on Sts'ailes land in Aggasiz, BC and accept applications from all First Nations people.
Under the leadership of Chief Harvey Paul and with the support of Council, the Sts'ailes (former Chehalis Indian Band) has entered into an agreement with First Nations Health Authority. We are funded to operate a residential healing centre for Aboriginal persons who are struggling with alcohol and/or drug addictions and who may or may not be on the Methadone Mainteneance Program.
We practice respect for all our relations, all living things and strive to assist those who come to our centre in reconnecting to themselves, their spirit, their community; strengthening their cultural identity and encouraging a healthy addiction free lif
