Arthritis Introspective (AI) serves an often overlooked population: those of us living with arthritis and/or associated rheumatic diseases during the young- to middle-aged adulthood. We hear much too often, “But you’re too young to have arthritis,” or worse, “But you don’t look sick.” Yet, we all work through the realities of our chronic disease to balance the demands of college, relationships, careers, parenthood, and disability. This balancing act can be arduous and isolating without the support and understanding of others who have been there.
Arthritis Introspective (AI) fosters a network of face to face social support groups to unite people living with arthritis.
